St. Thomas fitness center to host class to highlight Sexual Assault Awareness Month

A fitness center in St. Thomas is hosting a special class in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Pure Balance in St. Thomas will have a indoor cycling class to raise money to end domestic violence and sexual assault.

The fitness center is teaming up with the Virgin Islands Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Council and a portion of the proceeds from the class will be donated to VIDVSAC.

The VI Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Council (DVSAC) was formed by founding members on each island of St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John in 1997 to address oppression and systems advocacy.

In 2013, DVSAC became an independent organization and is recognized as the State/Territorial Coalition by the National Office on Violence Against Women and the Department of Health & Human Services.

The cost of the class is $20 and you can register HERE

Space is limited so be sure to register to reserve your spot.

Riders are encouraged to wear teal!
