VI Children’s Museum hosts free community day of play

The Virgin Islands Children’s Museum is hosting their “Annual Community Day of Play” this weekend.

That means the museum will be open for free for children and parents.

There will be demonstrations and talks by Dr. David Smith, VI-EPSCoR, and VI Marine Advisory Service.

There will also be a variety of fun STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics)-based activities.

The event marks their third anniversary in their new home.

Admission is first-come, first-served and is limited by the museums capacity.

After losing their original location during hurricanes Irma and Maria, the museum has been rebuilt thanks the generosity of individuals, local businesses, foundations, organizations and volunteers.

VICM’s mission is to bring children and families together in an interactive educational space where dynamic play inspires a love of learning and the power of discovery.
