Police are now identifying the pedestrian hit last week in St. Thomas.
The man has been identified by his family members as Juan Carlos Martinez Urena.
The 51-year-old was hit by a car on Krum Bay road.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Urena is from the Dominican Republic living in St. Thomas.
