Thousands Place Wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery to Honor Service Members

ARLINGTON, VA– Thousands of volunteers in our nation’s capital placed wreaths at the graves of service members at Arlington National Cemetery.

The organization Wreaths Across America began a couple of decades ago as a small family tribute to service members at Arlington National Cemetery. It has now grown into a nationwide event. Thousands showed up at Arlington Saturday morning helping place wreaths for the hundreds of thousands of soldiers and their spouses buried there. Wreaths Across America asks volunteers to say the name of service member when volunteers place their wreaths as a way to honor them.
