USVI Census 2020 Has Several Part-Time Jobs Available

Census 2020 U.S. Virgin Islands is actively recruiting individuals to fill hundreds of jobs on St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas.

More than 500 temporary, part-time census takers are needed to ensure that everyone who lives in the U.S. Virgin Islands is counted. Beginning in March, census takers will visit every household in the territory to complete census forms.

Census takers are critical to making sure that the Census count is accurate. The jobs pay well, have flexible hours, and are open to anyone 18 or older.  Bilingual applicants and people who already have jobs and want to earn extra money in the evenings and on weekends should apply. Census takers earn $16.51 per hour.

Article 1, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution requires that an accurate count be taken of the U.S. population every 10 years. Census statistics determine how billions of dollars in federal funds are allocated to local communities every year for the next 10 years.

To obtain an application, please visit one of the Census offices on St. Croix or St. Thomas or complete an online application via the Job Search tab on the UVI website: careers.uvi.edu/postings.
