CBS USVI, Viya Unable to Reach Agreement

News

As of 5 p.m. January 4, 2019, CBS USVI is no longer available to Viya subscribers.

We apologize for any inconvenience this interruption may cause our viewers. Customers are encouraged to call Viya at 340-777-8492 and ask them to have an open dialogue with us to make sure they can still get the best programming on television.

Lilly Broadcasting allowed an extension on New Year’s Eve with the hopes to have some open dialogue, but Viya once again delayed the discussions.

Lilly Broadcasting has a great relationship with our network partners at ABC, CBS and CW.  We want to say to them, once again, thank you.

ABC, CBS and CW have been extremely generous to Lilly Broadcasting and the residents of the USVI,  especially right after the Hurricanes in 2017 and during the rebuilding of 2018, by forgiving programming fees.  With that forgiveness we were able to pass along the savings Viya to help them rebuild and get back on their feet.

We have been committed to the USVI for many years and will continue to provide a much-needed service and benefit to the residents, our viewers.

When Viya decided to eliminate their local news, we willingly stepped up our news presence and our weather coverage, to make sure the USVI viewers had a local broadcast news presence.

We continue to help out with recovery, giving hundreds of back packs with school supplies to children, economic help and television time to help the needs of the USVI.

We apologize once again for any inconvenience this interruption may cause our viewers.
